In a bid to promote and strengthen the effective co-ordination and synergy among the stakeholders for expanding financial inclusion collectively in State, the Odisha State Association of Financial Inclusion Institutions (OSAFII) today organized the 2nd edition of Odisha Financial Inclusion Conclave here today.
Inaugurating the conclave, Minister for Women and Child Development and MSME Prafulla Samal said, “All key stakeholders should join hands to provide affordable financial services to the underserved.”
Samal spoke about different schemes implemented by the Odisha Government for upliftment of rural women to support their family. He also appreciated the contribution of OSAFII members for providing financial services in the remote regions.
The conclave focused on the issues and challenges that impede the financial inclusion initiatives in the state.
Congratulating OSAFII for organizing such an enclave, SIDBI General Manager Rishi Dwivedi elaborated about the initiatives adopted by SIDBI to empower women entrepreneurs.
“Access to credit enables businesses to expand, creating jobs and reducing inequality,” said OSAFII President Dibyajyoti Pattnaik.
Around 400 representatives from Self Help Groups, banks, government agencies, financial institutions participated in the conclave.
