Ease of Doing Business attracting foreign companies to tie up with MSME sector: Union Minister

Several small and medium industries lying ideal for many years have now been activated and following the improvement in “Ease of Doing Business” foreign companies are now coming forward in tying up with Indian MSME units to manufacture world standard products which is steadily creating employment for our educated youth, said Union MSME Minister Giriraj Singh here today.

Singh, who visited the Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) here during his visit to State, said in the present scenario of industrialization particularly in the engineering field, requirements of specialized tools, dyes, jigs, fixtures, moulds, gauges and other precision components are indispensable.

Simultaneously demand for quality Tool makers, Tool & Product Designers, Skilled manufacturers, PLC & Industrial Automation engineers and Maintenance Engineers is also growing rapidly, the Union Minister added.

He said the CTTC Bhubaneswar is one of the leading training, production, design and consultancy centres established in technical cooperation program between Govt. of India & Govt. of Denmark to meet the above requirements.

“The excellent infrastructural facilities like land, building, modern workshops, advanced tool rooms have contributed a lot for the progress of this institute,” he added.

During the visit the minister saw various advanced facilities made available to students, trainees, internees and discussed about employment based training with faculty members. The Minister also interacted with students of CTTC, Bhubaneswar during the visit. The Union Minister Shri Singh said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Make in India initiative has created ample opportunity for micro, small and medium industries to grow in India.

Notably, the CTTC is unique in imparting industry oriented long & short term training programs on CAD/CAM, Tool Design & Manufacturing, Tool & Die Making, CNC Programming & Machining, Machine Maintenance, CCNA, Industrial Automation, VLSI, Hardware & Networking Management, ITI (Machinist/Welder) etc.
