The Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) will organize a summit on ‘Empowering Young Grampreneurs to create jobs’ at the Rail Auditorium here on April 1, as part of their mission in creating employment through entrepreneurship.
Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu and Odisha Governor of Odisha, Prof. Ganeshi Lal will grace the occasion.
The event will bring together more than 600 participants including industry veterans, mentors from different fields and BYST’s entrepreneurs to share views on mentoring young Grampreneurs in India.
Officials from Tata Steel and JK Paper, senior Government officials, heads of multilateral agencies, educational institutions, NGOs, bank officials, media fraternity, mentors as well as grassroots entrepreneurs are expected to participate in the summit.
The belief of creating entrepreneurship amongst youth is possible with right mentoring support in creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in rural areas of Odisha.
“As an organization, our main focus has always been to empower underprivileged youth with mentoring and guidance. We feel proud of our association with the corporate giants Tata Steel and JK Paper for creating a multiplier effects to create entrepreneurship and job creation in the regions of Jajpur, Kalinganagar and Rayagada. Our 27 years long journey has given us an opportunity to reach out to the remotest of areas in our country where job creation is nearly impossible,” said BYST Founding and Managing Trustee Lakshmi V Venkatesan.
