Bhubaneswar, Mar 14
The ‘Mo School Social Media’ campaign, aimed at promoting the ‘Mo School’ programme on social media in the State was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Secretariat here today.
While launching the ‘Mo School Social Media’ campaign, he also held discussion on ‘Mo School’ campaign with two district Collectors. Notably, the Chief Minister had on November 14 last year announced the ‘Mo School’ campaign to enhance the State’s education level, promote and facilitate volunteerism to contribute to the development of the schools. The ‘Mo School’ campaign provides a platform where former students connect to their childhood memory and be a part of the change they want to see in their schools.
The Chief Minister had committed that whatever is contributed in terms of funds for the development of the schools, the State will contribute double the amount. Besides, he had announced an initial corpus of Rs 100 crore for this initiative. With the launching of ‘Mo School Social Media’ campaign, the state government expects that the old students who are active on social media can get to know about their schools and can contribute for the development of the schools.
